Avoid this place Positive: Nothing Negative: We booked this apartment for one week expecting a simple but clean and safe place to stay. Unfortunately, the reality was very different. The apartment was not properly prepared for guests when we arrived. Cleaning equipment such as a mop and bucket had been left inside and basic items like hand soap were missing. The biggest concern was maintenance and safety. There was exposed electrical wiring visible in the apartment, which is worrying in any rental property. There was also significant damp and water damage inside the wardrobe, suggesting an ongoing moisture issue. The windows did not close properly, which allowed wind to come inside the apartment and made the temperature uncomfortable at night. We also experienced a disturbing incident when strangers knocked on our door at around 2am, which made us feel uneasy in the building. Because of the overall condition of the property and the safety concerns, we decided to leave early and book a hotel at our own expense. Customer support at Booking did try to help and later offered a small compensation, but the property management company refused to take responsibility for the condition of the apartment. Budget accommodation is one thing, but basic safety and maintenance standards should still be met.
